About Us
Diverse Women Group

We Exist Because Women Deserve Better.

Womankind is the UK's free women's hormonal health platform. We are not a clinic. We are not a brand with a product to sell. We are not a blog. We are an independent editorial platform, and we are free to every woman who needs us.

We cover the full complexity of women's hormonal health, not just the three hormones you have heard of, not just menopause, not just one symptom or one stage of life. If you have a hormonal health concern or condition, whatever your age, you are in the right place.

Our focus is on the chapters of a woman's life outside of puberty and pregnancy, the years where women tell us they feel most alone, most dismissed and most unheard. Where the education is lacking, the information is fragmented and too many women are left navigating their health without the knowledge or the tools to advocate for themselves. That is where we come in.

We publish honest, expert-informed editorial content across every aspect of women's hormonal health, from perimenopause, HRT and conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, thyroid disorders and osteoporosis, to gut health, mental health, skin & hair, vaginal health, hormone disruption and the latest research and guidelines. Every piece of content is produced to an editorial standard that prioritises accuracy, independence and accessibility.

Why We Built Womankind

We built Womankind because women's hormonal health is vast, complex and deeply interconnected, and women deserved a place that treated it that way.

A woman's hormonal health does not exist in isolation. It touches her mood, her skin, her gut, her sleep, her weight, her libido, her mental health and her sense of self. It shifts across every decade of her life. And it rarely arrives as just one thing, a woman navigating perimenopause may also be managing endometriosis, thyroid dysfunction or anxiety, all at the same time. Her body is not a collection of separate problems. It is one connected system.

We wanted to give women a more complete, circular view of their hormonal health, beyond periods, beyond menopause, beyond any single condition or life stage. A place where the dots are joined. Where she does not have to piece together her own picture from numerous different websites and conflicting social media sources.

We also wanted to widen the conversation. Women's hormonal health has for too long been reduced to just one chapter, whether that's puberty, pregnancy or menopause, but her life is a much longer, richer story.

Womankind is here for all of it.

Nothing else was doing that. So we built it.

Kirsten, founder of Womankind women's hormonal health platform

Meet Kirsten - Founder of Womankind

Kirsten created Womankind with one intention, that no woman should ever feel as isolated or unprepared as she did during her own hormonal health experiences.

Her deep interest in hormonal health began at 24, when she was finally diagnosed with endometriosis and underwent surgery followed by months of a medically induced temporary menopause. Given no warning of the side effects and no hormonal support, her symptoms were debilitating and frightening, and she faced them largely alone, with nowhere to turn and no one to guide her.

At 45, she faced a year of tests and scans, misdiagnoses and ultimately dismissed symptoms, until she recognised and self-diagnosed perimenopause, later confirmed by her GP. These experiences drove her to formally study hormonal health and to learn how to advocate for herself effectively within a system that had repeatedly failed her. It also led to further diagnoses of adenomyosis and fibroids alongside her endometriosis, a combination of hormonal conditions that are very common yet still widely under-diagnosed.

She built Womankind because knowledge changes everything. When you truly understand your body and how beautifully it all connects, you stop being a passive patient and become an active, informed participant in your own healthcare. That understanding is something every woman deserves, and it is exactly what Womankind is here to give her.
